Marketing Procurement & Operations Manager

Our tech & media client is seeking a versatile Marketing Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day intake of supplier engagement contracts for its dynamic in-house marketing agency. This pivotal role serves as the central entry point and connectivity hub for stakeholders to initiate new projects efficiently and expeditiously, while adhering to all procurement compliance regulations.
This role will guide stakeholders and suppliers through the contracting process, collaborating with Source-to-Pay to raise contracts and POs; enabling teams to successfully launch new project engagements.
The ideal candidate has a background in procurement, agency operations, marketing project management and production. Responsibilities:
Contract Negotiation and Management:
Understand the full Source-to-Pay cycle (Sourcing, Contracts, Purchase Orders & Invoicing) to quickly identify bottlenecks, problems and drive issues to resolution.
Negotiate service agreements, maximizing budget efficiencies.
Develop consistent contract terms & conditions that best cover the in-house agency with its supplier engagements.
Spend Analysis and Optimization:
Continuously maintain the data of the intake dashboard for precise reporting within the finance management tool.
Develop and implement strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the buying process.
Conduct in-depth spend analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and buying behavior improvement.
Track and report category metrics, including category spend, savings, supplier performance and compliance. Generate insights to inform leadership decision-making.
Stakeholder Management:
Manage the intake, drafting and execution for all contract and purchase order requests. Guiding stakeholders through the process, extracting all necessary information to properly execute.
Proactively communicate status updates between stakeholders and suppliers, raise risks, alert teams of rush requests, and present solutions.
Partner with the Central Operations team to ideate, optimize, and scale ways of working that best support the team.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Support Central Operations with external agency relationship management.
Manage supplier roster/ establishing a capability taxonomy.
Support and provide guidance for optimizing the request for proposal (RFP) process, onboarding and Quarterly Business Review (QBRs).
Work in tandem with 360 project management lead to ensure seamless workflow support.
Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience with creative marketing procurement, supplier management, or agency operations for an in-house marketing team or external creative agency.
Expertise in managing high-volume intake of creative contract requests with an understanding of production workflow and supplier management.
Subject matter expert. Ability to manage concurrent priorities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong financial acumen, organized, versatile, able to pivot easily in a fast-paced environment, and navigate complex organizational landscapes.
Positive can-do attitude, able to build relationships and bring teams together.
Experience configuring and working in Google’s product suite and project management tools.
